University of Washington researchers have developed IRIS, a smart ring that enables customers to regulate good devices by aiming the ring's small digicam on the gadget and clicking a built-in button. The prototype Bluetooth ring sends a picture of the chosen machine to the consumer's phone, which controls the gadget. The consumer can alter the Herz P1 Device with the button and -- for gadgets with gradient controls, corresponding to a speaker's quantity -- by rotating their hand. IRIS, or Interactive Ring for Interfacing with Good house gadgets, operates off a charge for 16-24 hours. The group introduced its research Oct. Sixteen on the 37th Annual ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology in Pittsburgh. IRIS just isn't presently out there to the public.
